ISWC fashion show
This year ISWC 2002 will be hosting a fashion show for the very first time. Read below to find out more information about the show. We invite companies, researchers, and individuals to submit equipment they would like professional models to present during the show. Please email submissions@komposite.com for more information.
Welcome!
Dear ISWC Participants,
We'd like to invite you to be a part of this October's ISWC Fashion Show. At the end of the day's presentations Tuesday we will be putting on a catwalk-style fashion show demonstrating many of the ISWC participants' technologies. The purpose of the show is to show how wearable computers can be used in real-world contexts and to help create publicity for the technologies demonstrated. We will be using largely local area models (see heffnermgmt.com for examples of some of our potential models) and will supply wardrobe, sound, and lighting as needed to provide for a consistent and professional show. Our production will include multimedia audio and projections to convey details about the technologies.
If you would like to be considered for participation, please submit the following information as soon as possible via email to submissions@komposite.com:
The deadline for consideration in the ISWC Fashion Show is August 15th. Decisions will be announced on August 19th. Prototypes for working wearables or peripherals must be shipped to Seattle one month in advance of the show (by September 7th) to allow time for fittings. Prototypes can be returned at ISWC, after the fashion show. We're pleased to be able to offer you this opportunity to showcase your work in this exciting new addition to the ISWC roster of activities, and look forward to working with you to demonstrate your technologies. Wearable computing has come a long way - now's the time to show everyone just how far it's come!
Sincerely,
Joshua Klein & Paul Holman
